Nordic games publisher Hugo Games has signed an agreement with Liverpool FC to feature the team in its upcoming game Soccer League.

The publisher also secured the rights to use football teams PSG and Juventus in the new game. It had already signed up Dortmund, Porto, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Soccer League is a football game which will offer offline single-player and online multiplayer, as well as the ability to level up and enhance players. It is expected to release in Q3 2017.

Top of the table

"Liverpool FC is known around the world and we are proud to feature the club in Soccer League," said Mogens Agger, Licensing Director of Hugo Games.

"As a company based in Copenhagen, we know that LFC has a huge fan base across Norway and Denmark, as LFC’s roster has included local Norwegian and Danish stars including Jan Mølby, John Arne Rise and Daniel Agger."

As well as working on Soccer League, Hugo Games is currently developing a mobile game based on the Vikings TV show. The PvP strategy title is expected to launch in 2018.
