Weekly UK App Store charts: Ketchapp's The Floor Is Lava knocks Floor Is Lava Challenge off the top spot

Each week app market intelligence firm Reflection, in partnership with Ukie, publish the top grossing and most downloaded games from the App Store.

So we’re sharing that data each week to give you an insight into how the UK mobile games market is evolving on the App Store.

The floor is still lava

Proving that it's still the king of memes, Ketchapp managed to take the top spot of the free iPhone game download charts with its game The Floor Is Lava, an one-thumb endless runner that has players jumping onto furniture to avoid touching a molten hot floor.

It knocks last week's winner, Floor is Lava Challenge by Appnoxious, down to third place.

Rovio has had something of a strong week, with its latest game Angry Birds Evolution making an entry at number seven, and Niantic's Pokemon GO has suddenly reappeared at number 10 and scored third place in the top grossing iPhone game charts.

Beyond that, it all looks to be business as usual - even Minecraft has returned to the top of the paid iPhone download charts after losing to Monument Valley 2 last week.
