Brazil's Independent Games Festival Awards 2017 winners revealed

UK developer Ghost Town Games took home the top prize of Best Game at Brazil's Independent Games Festival Awards 2017.

The ceremony recognised the best independent games made in Brazil, Latin America and the rest of the world. 617 games were submitted to the competition from 54 countries, with 45 titles making the final cut in the 13 award categories.

The accolades were voted for by a judging panel of industry experts, while a special prize as chosen by the general public was also awarded.

Ghost Town Games took home two awards for its manic team-based cooking title Overcooked: Best Game and Best Gameplay.

Another big winner on the night was Among Giants for its musical ''psychodrama'' Distortions, which was the winner of the Public Vote as well as receiving the Best Brazilian Game accolade.
