SPYR plans aggressive acquisition strategy following Pocket Starships deal

SPYR has outlined its plans to for an aggressive acquisition strategy once it finalises the ownership of its recent acquisition Pocket Starships.

The company, parent of publisher SPYR Games, states that its goal is "to acquire multiple companies in or related to the electronic games industry". This will diversify its portfolio of games and related technologies and content.

As well as this, SPYR is planning to publish new games using Hollywood IP. It expects these games to add to its revenues "over the coming months".

Charging ahead

Aside from its games business, the company is also looking to enter a Definitive Investment Banker arrangement. It is also extending its stock dividend issuance date to December 31st 2017.

SPYR acquired Pocket Starships from Spectacle Games earlier in September 2017 in a cashless deal. The acquisition gives the publisher ownership of not only all the revenues, but also the game's engine so it can release reskinned versions in the future.
