Wargaming opens mobile game development studio in Moscow

World of Tanks developer Wargaming has opened a new development studio in Moscow, Russia.

The office will be headed by Andrey Zimenko, whose previous jobs include overseeing mobile publishing at Wargaming Alliance and leading a mobile development studio at Mail.Ru.

The studio is currently hiring a team to work on midcore titles for mobile devices.

"Ambitious goals"

“Moscow is one of the most significant centres for mobile gamedev in the world so we had to establish a presence here,” said Zimenko.

“Our main objective for now is building a strong team capable of achieving the most ambitious goals. We welcome mobile game development professionals to join our ranks and share their most daring ideas with us.”

PocketGamer.biz recently discussed Wargaming’s mobile plans with the company’s CEO Victor Kislyi, who said the platform was becoming more important to it every day.
