Honor of Kings remained the highest grossing mobile game in the world in December 2017

Honor of Kings yet again held onto the top spot of the global grossing mobile game charts in December 2017.

This is based on SuperData Research's monthly Worldwide Digital Games Market report, which has studied the top grossing games of December 2017.

Tencent's MOBA was also on top in the October 2017 rankings. It had previously been knocked off for one month in September 2017 by NetEase's MMO Fantasy Westward Journey.

Nothing changes

The top ten highest grossing games worldwide in December 2017 were:

  1. Honor of Kings
  2. Fantasy Westward Journey
  3. Monster Strike
  4. Clash Royale
  5. Lineage M
  6. Candy Crush Saga
  7. Clash of Clans
  8. Fate/Grand Order
  9. Pokemon Go
  10. King of Chaos

Pokemon Go has made a surprise return to the rankings at ninth place. This is likely due to the launch of the AR+ mode on iOS, which Apple has said caused a resurgance in popularity for the game.

Tencent's King of Chaos is also clinging on in tenth place after first appearing in October's rankings. It was noted by the developer as being key to its revenues in its Q3 FY17 financials.
