Ubisoft's China-only mobile game Might & Magic Heroes: Era of Chaos generates over $120 million in revenues

Ubisoft has released its financials for its Q3 FY18 for the three months ending December 31st 2017.

The company posted revenues of $893.7 million for the quarter, up 36.8 per cent year-on-year. It did not reveal its profits for the quarter.

Ubisoft was typically quiet about its mobile efforts too. The segment has experienced growth of 75.6 per cent in an unspecified KPI and has seen DAUs rise 170 per cent.

Saying nothing

In further vague statements, the company said that South Park: Phone Destroyer was its best performing game ever released by an internal studio. It also claimed that Ketchapp revenues have grown over 100 per cent year-on-year.

Ubisoft was a little more specific on China, where it claims to have generated over $123.2 million in gross revenues from its region-specific game Might & Magic Heroes: Era of Chaos. It has also secured over 100 million unique users for its game Hungry Shark Evolution in the region.

The company did not reveal any concrete plans for the future of its mobile division, but it has soft-launched a new Hungry Shark game called Hungry Dragon. It has also partnered with Tencent to bring Ketchapp games to mini-game platform Weixin.
