KamaGames eyes hotly competed slots games market on mobile

Social casino games developer KamaGames is getting into the highly competitive slots market on mobile with the addition of slots games into its flagship title Pokerist.

Pokerist already features games such as baccarat, roulette, poker, blackjack and more. The integration of slots will work much in the same way with new slot games added each month.

Players will be able to use chips won in poker and other games on the virtual slot machines.

KamaGames also plans to design features such as quests, achievements and events around these slots.

“Our goal this year is to move closer to becoming the operator with the most diverse and comprehensive portfolio of mobile social casino games and so in order to do that, we need to have slots in our product offering,” KamaGames MD Andrey Kuznetsov told PocketGamer.biz.

“Looking at market trends, it's clear that the slots market is still continuing to grow as it still makes up the majority of the wider social casino landscape.

"The slots market alone has grown by 11 per cent from 2016 to 2017 with our competitors showing some impressive growth too - Slotomania from Playtika increased its revenue by 49 per cent while Hit It Rich! Slots from Zynga by 33 per cent.”

Big players

As noted by Kuznetsov, social casino and the slots space are hotly competitive markets featuring companies worth hundreds of millions to billions of dollars. Zynga is publicly listed while Playtika was acquired in 2016 for $4.4 billion.

Kuznetsov said he feels the company’s existing portfolio, with its 3D casino games reaching over 400,000 daily active users, will help it take on such large rivals and carve out its own audience.

“Having such as strong offering with games like poker, blackjack, roulette, baccarat, omaha poker, set poker, allows us to attract all kinds of players which we know will enjoy slots too,” he said.

“It's also going to be important for us to retain and engage our players with a strong plan post-release and so we are already planning the release of several new slots games every month, each with their own unique player mechanics, look and style as well as unique events just for slots players too.”
