Habbo Hotel developer Sulake has opened the doors to its new free-to-play MMORPG title Hotel Hideaway on iOS and Android.

Much like Habbo Hotel, the new social game allows players to customise their avatars with unlockable outfits and hairstyles while also offering the chance mingle with other hotel guests.

Players can also unlock unique gestures by levelling up in-game and can take part community-driven social minigames that have been developed by other players within the hotel.

The Helsinki-based games developer will also bring augmented reality functionality to the game this spring on iOS with Apple’s ARKit.

“Hotel Hideaway is a summation of the work we’ve done in the social mobile space,” said Hotel Hideaway game lead Simo Piispanen.

“Our past experience with Habbo has provided us valuable insight into crafting a rich community for people to establish lasting friendships, while also being easily accessible using today’s mobile technology.”
