Epic Games is set to host a series of workshops and panels along with a mixer at Pocket Gamer Connects San Francisco 2018.

The series of talks centre on the latest Unreal Engine mobile updates along with other initiatives focused on the UE4 games community.

Epic’s Unreal Engine evangelist for North America Christian Allen will start things off with a workshop at 12:00 pm on Monday, May 14th, which will cover new UE4 enhancements for mobile developers titled “Unreal Engine: Bringing AAA to Mobile.”

Later that evening Epic will host a mixer from 5:00-7:00 pm at Southside Spirit House, where local developers and PGC attendees can connect over drinks and learn more about mobile-specific features in the upcoming Unreal Engine 4.20 release.

On Tuesday, May 15th at 12:00 pm, Allen will join castAR’s Bill Rehbock and Mobile Game Doctor’s Dave Rohrl on the “Evolution of Mobile Games” panel.

Later that day at 2:00 pm Unreal Engine community manager Amanda Bott will be part of the judging panel for the Very Big Indie Pitch event with Allen also hosting a meet and greet table during the session.

“We’re proud that Unreal Engine enables devs to deliver console-quality content on mobile devices, with great support for Vulkan and Metal rendering APIs, and new mobile-first enhancements continually being added to new versions of Unreal,” said Allen.

“At Pocket Gamer Connects, we’re excited to meet with developers from indies up through triple-A to see what they’re building and to share our knowledge on how Unreal can power the most cutting-edge mobile experiences.”

Pocket Gamer Connects San Francisco will be held from May 14th- May 15th at Bespoke, San Francisco. If you would like to sign-up for the Epic mixer, you can do so here.
