Weekly UK App Store charts: Pokemon Go usurps Candy Crush Saga as top grossing game

Each week app market intelligence firm Reflection, in partnership with UKIE, publish the top grossing and most downloaded games from the UK App Store.

So we’re sharing that data each week to give you an insight into how the UK mobile games market is evolving.

The very best, like no one ever was

For the week of June 4th to 10th, Niantic’s location-based augmented reality hit Pokemon Go retook the top spot from stalwart Candy Crush Saga.

King’s long-standing match-three title has experienced a resurgence in the last year and regularly finds itself in top spot. That said, the game has never done terribly.

Pokemon Go’s return to the top comes as the title gets its latest in-game event, the Water Festival, increasing encounters with water pokemon and introducing two new variants.
