You pitching apps, the press watching, Sega sponsoring

Come along to the Pocket Gamer Big Indie Pitch in Cologne
When we launched the Big Indie Pitch at GDC in San Francisco earlier in the year, it was a roaring success.

If you missed it, here's the deal:

Loads of mobile app journalists get together in a big room, and each is given a table. Indie devs then walk in and - a bit like speed dating - each of them has five minutes to pitch their mobile and/or tablet game.

When their time's up, the devs move onto the next table, and begin their pitch again.

Sounds fun, right? More importantly, it should sound "productive", as you'll be guaranteeing that mobile gaming's taste-makers get to see your product.

Next steps

Now we're bringing the Pocket Gamer Big Indie Pitch to the German city of Cologne during Gamescom, courtesy of the fine folks from Sega.

Taking place on 20 August from 5pm to 8pm (CEST) at the Die Kunst Bar, this event is open to any indies that want to get their games noticed by a who's who of the mobile press.

Best of all, this is all free, we simply want to see the awesome games you're working on. Plus there's a super duper money-can't-buy-prize awaiting one lucky pitcher, thanks to our sponsors!

So what on Earth are you waiting for?

Head on over to our dedicated Eventbrite page for more details, and to register your interest.
If any journalists heading for Cologne are intersted in taking part in the Big Indie Pitch, drop elspeth.lawson [at] steelmedia.co.uk an email.

There's free drinks and food on offer, and we'll even pay your cab fare.
