IGDA partners up for 3rd semester of Chartboost University

Chartboost has revealed that the Independent Games Developers Association will be the featured partner for Chartboost University's upcoming spring semester.

The University, now in its third run, gives budding indie development teams the chance to learn the ropes from industry veterans, whilst they mingle with the best and brightest.

"Chartboost is excited to have IGDA as a featured CBU partner this year because we both aim to educate, inspire and help developers build amazing games while being smart about how to run a business," said Maria Alegre, CEO of Chartboost.

Back to school

Speaking about the partnership, IGDA board chairman, Dustin Clingman, explained that the firm was excited about supporting the development of game developers on a global scale.

"Developers are constantly in search of educational opportunities like Chartboost University to expand their understanding of this complex and highly competitive mobile market," said Clingman.

"IGDA is pleased to participate with Chartboost in supporting the continuing professional development of game developers around the world."

Enrolment

Chartboost University, Spring 2014, will be held at Chartboost's headquarters in San Francisco, running from 5-12 March.

The University will accommodate teams of two or three indie game developers from each company applying, with each team receiving a complimentary GDC pass, and a scholarship of $4,000 to cover travel and accommodation.

What do you call someone who has an unhealthy obsession with video games and Sean Bean? That'd be a 'Chris Kerr'. Chris is one of those deluded souls who actually believes that one day Sean Bean will survive a movie. Poor guy.
