DeNA and Square Enix team up to bring Final Fantasy to Mobage
Social gaming powerhouse DeNA has announced it is to team up with Square Enix to bring Final Fantasy to the mobile social scene.

The first game of its kind in the series, Final Fantasy Mobage – as it's been dubbed – is yet to be given an official release date, but those eager to get their hands on it in Japan can pre-register for the game with immediate effect.

Big in Japan

As pitched, Final Fantasy Mobage will put both parties' relative strengths to use, merging Square Enix's characters with DeNA's social gaming knowhow.

Square Enix has also confirmed those who purchase Final Fantasy Type-0 on PSP in Japan will be rewarded with 'in game benefits' in Final Fantasy Mobage, with the game set to focus on the idea of "fighting for teammates".

More details – albeit in Japanese – can be found on DeNA's website.
