BlackBerry Partners and NFQ Ventures stump up

Data-focused publisher Fuse Powered raises $2 million in initial funding
Rebooted from developer Bytemark Games as a publisher focused around real-time analytics, Canadian outfit Fuse Powered has just completed its seed funding round.

It's raised $2 million, including contributions from BlackBerry Partners Fund and NFQ Ventures.

Fuse says the investment will be used to expand staffing, technology infrastructure and partnership support, enabling it to become a fully-established publisher.

It also plans to acquire licences, launching its first mobile games in the coming months.

Rapid growth

"The Blackberry Partners Fund investment represents an affirmation of Fuse's global thought leadership as mobile game publishers and the unique nature of our proprietary tools and position in the market," said Jon Walsh, Fuse Powered's CEO.

"The investment will accelerate our progress and give us an edge in the marketplace."

"Fuse brings a unique analytics-driven approach to the mobile gaming publishing space that optimises both game discovery and monetisation," added Marc Faucher, Partner at BlackBerry Partners Fund.

"We're thrilled to be adding the company to our investment portfolio and working with a team with such deep industry experience, strategic relationships and knowledge of the gaming space."
