Microsoft, Ubisoft Reflections on board for Game Dev North 8
Bound for Liverpool on 8 December
Organisers behind Game Dev North – the regular meet up for indie devs in the north of England – have announced sponsors for the event's eighth run, with both Microsoft and Ubisoft Reflections on board.
Bound for Liverpool's Adelphi Hotel on 8 December, Game Dev North 8 will once again allow studios within the region to make connections and, thanks to the event's sponsors, link up with two of the industry's major players.
"I'm really looking forward to this next event as we've got some really cool ideas going down and if all goes well, it’ll steer the course for the future events," said organiser Samuel Mottershaw of Toxic Games.
"Plus, with us going to the Adelphi this is a practically a trial run for Game Dev North conference-cum-festival that we'd really like to have a go at. It’s definitely where I see us expanding into."
A snap from the last Game Dev North
Mottershaw claims more than 200 industry professionals will be in attendance at this latest event, with Ubisoft's Reflections studio set to "snap up some great talent" from those in the room.
Microsoft, meanwhile, will detail how devs can make games and apps for both Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8, serving up "all the information developers are looking for." There will also be a quiz, a raffle, and drinks aplenty.
Those looking to attend should pick up a free ticket from the Game Dev North page on Eventbrite.
