Infinite Dreams looks to the power of social interaction to drop Jelly Defense's launch price from $9.99 to 99c
Plenty of developer and platforms - notably OpenFeint - have used Groupon-style dynamics to try to drive the price and general promotion of games.

Polish developer Infinite Dreams (best known for its Creatures of the Deep game for Nokia) is taking a novel approach with its forthcoming Jelly Defense game however.

It's out on 29 September, with the launch price being dictated by the number of social interactions generated.

Vote to price drop

Using Facebook likes, tweets, Google+s and other sharing mechanisms, 300 interactions will get the price down to $4.99, 700 to $3.99 and so on, with 5,000 ensuring it goes at the 99c minimum.

At time of writing, with only 73 social interactions made, the game remains set to launch at $9.99 however.
