InnoGames to gain mobile momentum with 80 new staff in 2012
German outfit InnoGames has announced it is to strengthen its hand in the mobile market by taking on a total of 80 new employees in 2012.

The firm says all 80 will be focused expressly on its recently launched smartphone business, with the company – which made its name in the online gaming business on PC – looking for international applicants.

Platform play

"Cross-platform gaming is one of our strategic key goals for the future," said co-founder Michael Zillmer.

"That is why we are searching for 20 new employees just in the Hamburg area. We are focused on the development side, but we are also on looking for experts in mobile marketing, user interface, producing and product management experts and more."

InnoGames has already launched Tribal Wars in beta form on both iOS and Android, and the firm currently working on a mobile version of Grepolis.

"Gamers desire continuous and platform-independent gaming fun with a high long term motivation and an over average user activity," added Zillmer.

"That is why we believe that cross-platform Gaming makes perfect sense, especially for titles like Tribal Wars and Grepolis."

The company has announced it's also looking for applicants who specialise in "classical software development" and marketing.
