Neon Play on the hunt for UK talent

UK studio Neon Play is on the hunt for new staff, taking to the PocketGamer.biz jobs board to advertise for two positions at its office in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

The outfit – which is behind games such as Traffic Panic and Paper Glider – is after a new Unity programmer and a fresh LAMP developer, with specific projects cited within the ads.

In regards to the Unity position, the firm says it is looking for an applicant who has, ideally, built a few games utilising the engine in the past – or, at least, boasts the skills to do so.

'No fibbing'

"We'll want to see evidence of the games you've built and know what you've actually done, so no fibbing," details the ad.

"We need you to be intimately familiar with the Unity development environment, C# scripting and know how to do 2D games and user interfaces within Unity. A demo or game you have developed previously in Unity is a definite bonus. Ideally you'll know how to create tools within Unity too."

Interesting, Neon Play claims the successful applicant for the LAMP developer position will be set to work helping to create a "stunning console-quality mobile/tablet game", delivering the "genius invisible stuff behind the scenes."

"It's a hugely important role," details the ad.

"The job is based in the middle of the beautiful market town of Cirencester, bang in the middle of the Cotswolds. We have the most incredible studio in Gloucestershire, and you're literally seconds away from an array of local shops, pubs, delis, coffee shops, banks and restaurants, so take your pick at lunch."

You can browse both positions - amongst many others - on the PocketGamer.biz jobs board.
