Playfish and Facebook to keynote London's Social Gaming Summit
Set to take place at Chelsea Football Club later this month, those behind this year's Social Gaming and Virtual Goods Summits have revealed two major keynote speakers.

Both Playfish co-founder, VP and general manager Kristian Segerstråle and Facebook's business development head Christian Hernandez - who previously worked on Android for Google and served as Microsoft's global marketing manager for smartphone - join a 26 long speaker list.

Also on board, amongst others, are Scoreloop co-founder and CEO Marc Gumpinger, Playdom's Paul LaFontaine, Dennis Ryan from PopCap and former director of business development at Zynga, Bret Terrill.

Socially speaking

Organisers Mediabistro describe the Social Gaming Summit as an event charged with looking at the intersection of games and the social web.

"The event focuses on helping social games developers build, monetise, and grow their social games," the company says on the summit's website.

The Social Gaming Summit will also serve up face-to-face conversations designed to instigate cross-industry partnerships.

Likewise, the Virtual Goods Summit - which occurs in the same location on the following day - will take a look at the emerging market opportunities for developers employing virtual goods and economies into their titles.

Money-off mattersTaking place on November 11-12, those looking to attend both events – which are co-produced with Charles Hudson and specialist technology event producer Rising Media – can register on the website to buy tickets for either combined or single tickets.
