Tapulous, the developer behind the massively popular iPhone music game Tap Tap Revenge, has partnered with 20th Century Fox to promote its new film Jennifer's Body.
The dark comic horror film features starlette du jour Megan Fox and hence the promotion revolves around users creating a Tap Tap Revenge theme using pre-prepared photos of Fox taken from the film.
The winner will see their theme included in a future version of Tap Tap Revenge alongside Panic! At the Disco's New Perspective, which features as part of the film's soundtrack.
As well as various prizes, the winner may also get the opportunity to get a job at Tapulous.
Following on from Tapulous' similar deal with Paramount's for G.I. Joe, this underlines the value of successful entertainment apps if they can be redeployed as Trojan horses for advertising brands: something Tap Tap Revenge is ideal placed for, thanks to its music-based gameplay.
To date, Tap Tap Revenge has been installed more than five million times - both paid and free apps. Specific versions have been released for artists such as Weezer, Coldplay, Lady GaGa and Dave Matthews.
The latest game in the series, Tap Tap Revenge 3, is due for release any day now.
