Develop Awards triumph leaves Unity 'hungry for more'
Unity Technologies has claimed its triumph at 2012's Develop Awards in Brighton has left the company hungry for more success, with the firm having also earned spots on the AlwaysOn Global 250 and OnMobile Top 100.

According to CEO David Helgason, the best engine award at Develop – the first such accolade in its history - in particular represents a big leap forward for the firm.

"We are incredibly honoured to have been awarded Best Engine from the incredible team at Develop and so many of our industry peers," said Helgason.

"It's impossible not to feel gratified that our efforts have made such a positive impact on the industry. This makes us that much hungrier to continue improving our technology and business for the future."

Unity 3.5's triumph comes little under a month after the firm pulled the covers off its successor, with Unity 4 promising to democratise game development for studios both big and small.
