CoolGames brings classic puzzle game Tetris to Facebook's Instant Games platform

HTML5 game developer CoolGames has partnered with the Tetris brand to bring the classic puzzle game to Facebook's Instant Games platform.
The Instant Games edition of Tetris was developed by CoolGames' internal development studio. It plans to launch several more "AAA" titles on Instant Games over the coming months.
Tetris on Instant Games will play much like the traditional versions, with blocks falling from the sky and players fitting them together to create unbroken lines. Players can invite their friends into games, take on daily challenges, and post their scores to a leaderboard to show off.

"People using Messenger can now play Tetris instantly and share it with their friends. Messaging apps are the next big games platform, unlocking an audience of potentially billions of players," said Laurens Rutten, Founder and CEO of CoolGames.

CoolGames most recently partnered with Hasbro to release an Instant Games edition of the board game Battleship. It has also released games such as Snake, Arkanoid, and Jewel Academy.
