Netmarble has released its financials for its Q4 FY17 for the three months ending December 31st 2017.

The company posted revenues of $567 million for the quarter, up 33% year-on-year. However, profits fell by 32.9% year-on-year to $49.9 million.

Operating costs for the quarter rose to $482 million, up 51.7% year-on-year. A major cost for the quarter was the marketing behind Lineage 2 Revolution, which was launched in the West during the period.

Big hitters

Lineage 2 Revolution still generates the most revenue for a single game, accounting for 39% of Netmarble's revenues for the quarter. Kabam's Marvel Contest of Champions made up 14% of revenues, while Jam City's Cookie Jam generated 6% of total revenues.

Overall, seven of the company's games generated 79% of its total revenues. Everybody's Marble, Marvel Future Fight, Seven Knights and the recently launched Tera M all accounted for 5% of all revenues each.

Lineage 2 Revolution's Western launch appears to be going well so far, having cleared five million downloads in its first 50 days of release. Overall, the game is estimated to have generated $980 million in 2017.
