Mobile real-time bidding ad exchange Smaato has announced a $25 million funding round.
Singapore Press Holdings joins the company as a strategic investor, alongside Aeris Capital, EDBI and other existing shareholders.
SPH says it will use Smaato's programmatic technology to automate its direct sales relationships with premium brand advertisers through a custom Private Exchange.
As for Smaato, it will use the funding to continue development of its mobile ad exchange and ad serving platform.
It's also pushing into the Indonesian market thanks to a partnership with Indosat, the country's second largest wireless carrier.
