We launched Steel Media’s first full-on conference, Pocket Gamer Connects, in London at the start of 2014. It exceeded all our expectations, with over 700 top-tier attendees representing leading mobile game developers, publishers, and service companies from all corners of the world.

In June, we followed it up with PGC Helsinki, adding a Nordic twist to proceedings as we explored the past, present and future of the Finnish games industry for the benefit of over 800 delegates. And we’re not stopping there.

In January 2015 we’re looking to go bigger and better yet again. We’re planning five distinct tracks, with the core global games publishing and indie developer survival guides being joined by a dedicated monetisation and user acquisition track, a celebration of the best of British, plus a bonus level bringing together other salient trends and looking ahead to new platforms.

Distinctive short-form lectures aimed at providing insight and inspiration, honest panel sessions offering frank opinion and advice, and intensive networking will remain key ingredients in the PG Connects recipe.
There’ll also be the Very Big Indie Pitch and I ♥ Indie Showcase area giving developers a chance to get discovered and advanced business matchmaking service, plus the obligatory, infamous Pocket Gamer after-party.

Who’s Attending?

  • 1500+ mobile gaming delegates in 2014 at London and Helsinki, from over 50 countries.
  • Speakers and delegates from all the key industry players including:
  • Supercell, King, DeNA, TenCent, Gamevil, KakaoTalk, CJ E&M, Chukong, Wargaming, Kabam, Frogmind, Nordeus, Creative, Mag Interactive, NTT Docomo, Ubisoft, Facebook, Google, Apple, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Gameloft, Sega, Capcom, Mag Interactive, G5 Grand Cru, iDreamSky, Unity, Wooga, Fingersoft and more.
  • Hundreds of the hottest indie developers sharing their games in our Very Big Indie Pitch, Indie Rock Star track, and I (Heart) Indie zone.
  • Learn from over 100 amazing speakers across five dedicated tracks.
  • Networking made easy via a dedicated meeting system.
  • Party and evening events.

Your conference Ticket Includes:

  • Entry to the main conference including access to all content tracks, expo and dedicated meeting area on both days.
  • Entry to the Very Big Indie Pitch and unconference sessions and workshops.
  • Entry to the Pocket Gamer Party.
  • Free tea, coffee & refreshments on both days.

Pollen gives app developers faster access to revenues they’ve already earned, by paying out for app store sales within 7 days instead of the usual 30-60 days.

These funds can be channelled back into user acquisition immediately, meaning that the app or game is funding its own user growth, and developers are less reliant on self-funding or venture capital to grow user numbers. pollen.vc
