A host of Europe’s leading mobile game journalists will be gathered together with partner sponsors to run the rule over 50 pre-filtered games.

The devs will be allowed 4 minutes to pitch to each journalist table in a ‘speed dating’ style. Once all the developers have pitched, the journos will confer and pick the finalists that will progress through to pitch live to an expert panel of judges for the grand prize.

Aside from the chance to get their game in front of the leading media influencers and potential publisher partners, this VERY Big Indie Pitch will also reward the top developers with a share of a promotional prize package worth over $25,000 plus the winner will receive a slick, story driven gameplay trailer with accomplished motion design, visual effects and animation from TrailerFarm Indie the event prize sponsor.

If you sign up your game and are selected to take part in the event, you will be issued with a Pocket Gamer Connects conference pass (per person) for both days of the event! (That’s a prize in itself worth £175 currently). If you are not selected to pitch we will send you a discount code to sign up for a pass and you get to come along and meet the media and publishers anyway (as well as benefit from 7 tracks of talks, evening networking events and a match-making meeting system). Alternatively if you are selected to pitch and already have purchased your conference pass you will be granted a full refund. One key thing to note is you don’t need to be already attending the conference to enter!

The Very Big Indie Pitch will also feature our journalist bar, a chance for those not pitching to chat to staff from the Pocket Gamer editorial team and other media who will give you feedback and advice on your game!

Pitch Rules:

  • All indie mobile game developers welcome!
  • Please make one submission pitch once per company. Multiple people from the same company are welcome to make the pitch.

  • Come prepared. Business cards, stickers, info sheets, etc. Most importantly, bring your game on a mobile device with a 4G connection.

  • 1st Prize = $12,000, 2nd Prize = $8,000 and 3rd Prize $5,000 of advertising spend on Steel Media websites
