Devin Nambiar leaves Kabam to join EA as Head of Product Management, Asia-Pacific

Devin Nambiar, former Director of Product at Kabam, has departed after more than three years at the firm to join EA as Head of Product Management, Asia-Pacific.

During his stint at Kabam, Nambiar - who is also one of our Mobile Mavens - spent considerable time working in both the US and China.

His final project at the firm was to assist with the launch of Manwei Ge Dou, a version of Marvel: Contest of Champions fully culturalised for the Chinese market.

Building bridges

Now based out of EA's Shanghai studio, Nambiar has already started in his new role.

"[As Head of Product Management, Asia-Pacific], I'll be working across East and Southeast Asia to help define the Asia slate for EA and [to] be a bridge between Asia and the west," Nambiar explained to PocketGamer.biz.

"My role will encompass global slate, monetization design, and live services."

"From a product standpoint that means sports franchises like FIFA, NBA, and Need for Speed, as well as others like Plants vs. Zombies, which is hugely successful in Asia," he went on.

"EA is continuing to build out its Asia leadership team, and is focused on winning in the region."

Features Editor

Matt is really bad at playing games, but hopefully a little better at writing about them. He's Features Editor for PocketGamer.biz, and has also written for lesser publications such as IGN, VICE, and Paste Magazine.
