PocketGamer.biz is the leading mobile games industry b2b portal. It covers the mobile (iOS and Android etc) and handheld (Switch etc) games industry, and is Steel Media’s flagship b2b site. It is the engine that drives the Mobile Games Awards, the Top 50 Mobile Game Makers list, and other activities including the Pocket Gamer Connects series of events and various mobile summits and mixers. The site is updated daily with news, features, interviews, profiles, event listings, job news and other timely and regular editorial pieces that support and inform the games industry. We are an essential resource for people working in the mobile and handheld games scene at every level, from student developers to the CEOs of ad-networks and everybody in between. We are constantly asking ourselves what utility we provide them all, and what we can do to report on and connect the mobile games ecosystem.
We host many international events, including the world-renowned Pocket Gamer Connects conference series. More than 27,000 industry professionals have attended the Connects international conference series since 2014. Since then, the roadshow has landed in the UK, Canada, USA, Finland, Hong Kong, Jordan and India with a genuinely international client base; on average, delegates from more than 45 countries attend each event.
With the advent of the ‘digital conference’, we have seen this number grow to nearly 70 countries. We know that over 70% of our audience works in game development and publishing. The Business Development Executive role sits within the b2b side of the business and reports into the VP Business Development. Working alongside the b2b sales team, the primary focus will be generating sales leads and closing deals for both our advertising and events business streams. You’ll be required to contribute to your own monthly and annual revenue targets (which form part of an overall team target).
