With FY14 Q2 sales up 104% to $41.5 million, Com2uS' market cap is now over $1 billion

Korean mobile game publisher Com2uS (KOSDAQ:078340) has announced its FY14 Q2 financials, the three month period ending 30 June 2014.

Sales were up 104 percent year-on-year to $41.5 million.

Net profit was up 1,225 percent to $13.5 million.

Sales, operating profit, and net profit were all record highs for the company, something which has boosted the company's market capitalisation to over $1 billion for the first time.

Catching a big one

Com2uS said the strong performance was due to the success of Summoners War: Sky Arena  and Ace Fishing: Wild Catch.

Summoners War has been a top 10 top grossing game on Google Play in 34 countries and in 30 countries on the App Store.

Everything's up a lot in FY14 Q2

Older titles such as Golf Star and Tiny Farm  also contributed, maintaining steady growths.

Wider horizon

More generally, Com2uS noted that 68 percent of sales during the quarter were generated outside of Korea.

"We were able to secure our presence in both major and emerging markets around the world with the global success of Summoners War and Ace Fishing," said CFO Baek Yong Choi.

"With offices in the US, Korea, Japan, and China, we plan to solidify ourselves as the global leader in mobile games by leveraging our user base and know-how with all our titles going forward."
