Koei Tecmo sees FY15 Q1 online and mobile game sales up 18% to $16 million

Japanese publisher Koei Tecmo (TYO:3635) has announced its FY15 Q1 financials, for the three months ending 30 June 2014.

Net sales were $62 million (¥6.3 billion), down 3 percent year-on-year.

The company splits its sales into game software, online & mobile, media & rights, pachislot & pachinko, and amusement facilities.

Online & mobile generated $16 million (¥1.65 billion) - 26 percent of total - which was up 18 percent year-on-year.

The division generated operating income of $3 million (¥338 million), up 72 percent. This made it the most profitable part of the business.

Net income for the entire company was $13.8 million (¥1.4 billion), up 45 percent.

Koei Temco ended the quarter with cash and equivalents worth $88 million.
