Why Hong Kong and Taiwan are key but often overlooked Asian markets

At Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki 2014, Arthur Chow, the CEO of Chinese Facebook/mobile publisher 6waves, spoke about the importance of the Asia markets.

'We all know Japan, Korea and China are big markets, but there are 7 Asian countries in the world top 20 for iOS and Google Play', he said.

In particular, Chow argues that Hong Kong and Taiwan are key markets in Asia because they are lucrative but not as competitive as the larger markets.

And more generally, he reminded developers that if you're only releasing your game in English, you're ignoring two-thirds of the global market.
