Spencer Scott, chief revenue officer at Fiksu, gave a talk at Pocket Gamer Connects Bangalore 2015 on retargeting users who have stopped using an app.
Scott spoke about the ease of retargeting over finding new users, saying that "most likely, they already have the app installed."
Break it down
He recommended breaking down the users into segments of users who interact with an app in a similar way, and creating targeted ads aimed at those specific segments.
A good sized segment is said to be around thirty thousand users.
Scott warns off getting "too granular, because you are trying to catch these people in the wild."
