A panel of top Indian developers got together at Pocket Gamer Connects Bangalore 2015 to discuss advertising in mobile games, particularly with an Indian audience in mind.
Led by Karan Mohla, Executive Director and Head of Digital Consumer at IDG Ventures India, the panel agreed that developers focus too much on typical Western groupings of users.
"India is very category clear," said Abhishek Gureja, Director of Winjit Digital, referring to religious beliefs as one of these categories.
"We cannot have international logic working in India. We have to tailor-make campaigns, and brands have to get onto this faster."
