At Pocket Gamer Connects Bangalore 2015, Nick Krungkaew, co-founder of Sinoze Game Studio, gave a talk on how best to break into the Thai market.
Last year, the mobile gaming industry in Thailand made $93.5 million, accounting for 40% of the overall Thai games industry, a figure which is expected to increase rapidly over the next three years.
Pre-pay your way
Most gamers in Thailand use pre-paid cards to make purchases in games, so Krungkaew stressed that "in order to gain revenue in Thailand, you need to integrate local payment."
To that end, "you need a local publisher", not only to handle the payment integration, but also to assist in localisation and customer support.
