Following Chinese Android success, Xiaomi releases Garfield Chef on iOS

Following the success of the localised Android version of its Garfield Chef game in China, Australian-floated mobile publisher Animoca Brands (ASX: AB1) has announced it's extending its deal with Chinese OEM Xiaomi.

Co-developed by Animoca Brands and Citrus Joy, the game was originally launched on 16 December on Xiaomi's App Store and has already done 1.5 million downloads.

Xiaomi will now also launch the game on the Apple App Store.

"The signing of this publishing deal with Xiaomi is a significant win for Animoca Brands as we continue to focus on expanding internationally and partnering with global industry leaders as part of our global growth strategy," said Animoca Brands CEO Robby Yung.

"We look forward to working with Xiaomi on this upcoming venture and welcome the opportunity to roll out our popular Garfield Chef mobile game in the fast-growing Chinese market".
