Konami shares up 4.8% thanks to four million downloads of mobile game Jikkyou Powerful Soccer

Konami's shares have climbed 4.8% following the success of its latest mobile sports game Jikkyou Powerful Soccer.

The company announced that its game had surpassed four million downloads in its first two weeks of launch. It was the most downloaded game on iOS in its first week of release.

The game itself is a spin-off of Jikkyou Pawafuru Puroyakyu, a baseball game developed by Konami. Launched two years ago, It receives around one million downloads every three months.

It is also considered Konami's most profitable mobile title, with the studio regularly mentioning it in its financials. Jikkyou Powerful Soccer will likely be expected to match these figures following its strong performance.

Konami has also found a four-million download level of success with its recently launched Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links. It is currently a Japan-only title, though an English-language version has been soft-launched in Australia.
