Nexon Korea makes strategic investment in Tree of Savior developer IMC Games

Nexon Korea has made a "strategic investment" in fellow Korean developer IMC Games for an undisclosed sum.

The investment will see Nexon providing support on the developer's PC MMORPG Tree of Savior. It will also be contributing to the development of the mobile adaptation of the game, Tree of Savior: Mobile Remake.

IMC was established in 2003 with the intention of developing MMO's. It launched Tree of Savior in December 2015 in Korea, and eventually pushed it out to Japan in September 2016.

Strengthening the collaboration

"We're thrilled to strengthen our collaboration with our talented partner, IMC Games," said Jiwon Park, Chief Executive Officer of Nexon Korea.

"We are confident that together we will continue to deliver high-quality games that leverage strength of each company in game development and publishing."

Nexon Korea is no stranger to investing in well-performing studios. In April 2016 it acquired a 22.4% stake in NAT Games, the developer behind one of Nexon's key performers, Heroes of Incredible Tales.
