Nazara Games has partnered with Indian Premier League cricket team Royal Challengers Bangalore to launch its new mobile game RCB Star Cricket in mid-April.

The game is a "social cricketing experience" designed for quick pick-up-and-play gameplay for casual gamers. It makes use of Indian cricket stars such as Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers to draw in its audience.

RCB has signed a three-year partnership deal with Nazara to develop the game and engage fans. The two are hoping to turn RCB Star Cricket into the "largest cricket community" on mobile.

Perfect setting for a partnership

"At Nazara, we believe that mobile games around cricket enable millions of Indians to vicariously live the 'on ground' experience virtually and RCB's strong army of decade old fans offer a perfect setting for this partnership," said Nazara CEO Manish Agarwal.

"We at Nazara are confident that this partnership will build a strong and vibrant community of millions of cricket fans on second screen."

Nazara recently launched Chhota Bheem Speed Racing, which scored one million downloads in three weeks. You can find out more about the making of the game in our interview with developer Tiny Labs Productions' CEO Jonas Abromaitis.
