Wild City Rush developer Sviper partners with iDreamSky for China launch

German developer Sviper has partnered with iDreamSky to publish Wild City Rushin the Greater China region.

The deal will see the launch of culturally localised version of the endless runner in the country.

Wild City Rush was released across numerous territories in 2016. In January 2017, the studio signed a deal with Jordanian-based developer and publisher Maysalward to publish a localised version of title in the Middle East and North Africa.

The partnership with iDreamSky marks the studio's first foray into the Chinese market.

Market rush

“The Greater China region is the world’s biggest mobile games market and has a great promise to continue its growth in the next years,” said Sviper Founder Michael Reichert.

“With its huge casual game experience, hundreds of distribution channels and device manufactures, iDreamSky is the perfect distribution partner for Wild City Rush in China. Working with iDreamSky will help increase the game’s overall brand awareness and expand Sviper’s global reach.”

The news comes shortly after Chinese publisher iDreamSky launched a $30 million fund to publish indie games around the world.

Along with funding, iDreamSky will be offering technology, promotion and support to indie developers.
