Netmarble’s Lineage 2: Revolutionhas shot straight to the number one top grossing spot on Japan’s App Store following its release on August 23rd.

The RPG, a sequel to the hugely popular Lineage MMO on PC, has been a huge hit in its native South Korea.

Global conquest

Netmarble has since set its sights on releasing the game in other territories and has quickly found success in Japan.

The company claimed Lineage 2: Revolution has also set the record for the shortest time for a Korean game to reach the top grossing spot in Japan, taking just a single day.
