Nintendo has released is financials for the first half of its FY17 for the six months ending September 30th 2017.

It saw net sales of $3.3 billion for the period, up an impressive 173.4% year-on-year. Profits also grew by 34.5% to $453.5 million in H1 FY17.

Its mobile division also saw a large increase in revenues. The sector posted net sales of $157.8 million during the first half of its FY17, up 426% year-on-year.

Running ahead

This is not entirely surprising, however, as both Super Mario Run and Fire Emblem Heroes had not been released by this time in its previous fiscal year.

On the Switch side, Nintendo has now sold 7.63 million units worldwide. It has also sold 27.48 million units of software for the console, with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild having sold 4.7 million units.

Looking ahead, Nintendo is preparing for the worldwide launch of its mobile game Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. It has already soft-launched in Australia.
