Same old story

As for its mobile games, Sega told a similar story to previous financial releases. Puyopuyo!! Quest and Hortensia Saga were its top performers, while new game Magi Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story saw "robust" sales.

Looking ahead, the company is planning on launching new games to boost its revenues. It claims to have made "a good start" with the launch of Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei Liberation in January 2018.

Sega recently attempted to leverage its major games IP for a new social casino game called Sega Slots. The game went unmentioned in its latest financials.
