Early Bird registration opens for South Korea’s G-STAR 2018

Early Bird registrations have opened for South Korea’s top B2B and B2C games expo, G-STAR 2018. Until July 27th, there is 10% off ticket prices.

The B2C side of the event will take place from November 15th to 18th. The B2B part meanwhile will end a day earlier on November 17th.

Open for all

Organised by local industry trade body K-Games, the Busan-based event hosts an array of games developers, publishers, service providers and tech firms from across the local and international industry.

It also houses a conference schedule featuring speakers from around the world sharing their experiences and key insights with attendees.

Last year there were 676 exhibitors in total, a record for the event. The number of trade visitors hit 2,006, while the number of general attendees to the show was 225,392 - both also records.

Indies visiting Asia

This huge event is the perfect gateway to Asia for Western developers and publishers, a one-stop shop for access to an enormous market. It offers a relatively low participation cost but delivers a vast opportunity for meetings. The organisers' mission this year is to attract more international booths and Indie gamers.

To that end, this year for the first time G-STAR will also host the Big Indie Awards, which recognises developers around the world for their hard work and creativity. This is organised in conjunction with Steel Media, PocketGamer.biz's parent company. We will also run a Big Indie Pitch event: entries are now open and will run until September 7th.
