MoGi Group breaks down its year in games

MoGi Group at the 2017 Develop Awards

Noted international video games localisation, player support, and community management service experts, MoGi Group, has found itself among the star-studded list of nominees for the prestigious Develop Awards for an astonishing second year running.

The Develop Awards, often hailed as one of the most important nights in the games development industry calendar, is set to be held on July 12th at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Brighton, England, and is guaranteed to draw out the crème of the industry in celebration of some of the most profound accomplishments by games developers worldwide in the last twelve months.

MoGi Group is nominated in the QA (Quality Assurance) and Localisation category of this year’s Develop Awards for outstanding contributions to the field of video games localisation, a niche for which they have carved a fine stronghold for themselves through their constant displays of passion and professional expertise.

“Localisation, of the standard we constantly strive to provide, means many things to us,” says Orad Elkayam, CEO of MoGi Group.

“On the most basic level, for us, it means constantly testing our skills and growing as a video games services company on an international scale. But on a larger level it means being a part of something far bigger than ourselves – it means contributing something real to the industry and seeing some great games we really believe in make it to far bigger audiences than they might have otherwise. At the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about.”

The Develop Awards will be held at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Brighton, England, on July 12th and will honour the best and brightest the video games development industry has to offer across a wide range of categories from best creative achievement in animation, writing, sound design, or performance, to the more specialised, technical elements within the industry (including best engine, design and creativity tool, creative outsourcer, and production tools provider), not to forget, of course, the highly coveted Studio of the Year award.

The awards are held by many as among the greatest accolades available to video game industry professionals as they are chosen and awarded by industry peers only.

Joining MoGi Group on the list of nominees, across all categories, include sci-fi legend Mark Hamill (of Star Wars fame), Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn, Epic Games, Sega, Playground Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Guaranteed to make its presence felt at this year’s ceremony, MoGi Group will also proudly be flying the flag as one of the event’s sponsors.

On sponsoring this year’s awards, Mr. Elkayam said: “We couldn’t be happier to be Gold Sponsor to an event as exciting and worthwhile as the Develop Awards. We pride ourselves on our quest for greatness in the industry, so it only makes sense for us to sponsor an event that celebrates the successes of others in the industry on similar journeys.”

In the last year alone MoGi Group have localised approximately 45 million words of gaming into over 40 languages for more than 500 clients worldwide, making it one of the most active localisation and translation bodies in the video games industry, working with such recognisable names as Capcom, Konami, Telltale Games, NCSoft, Epic Games, Webzen, Netmarble, Sandbox Interactive, and Kakao Games on a host of amazing games (including Star Wars: Force Arena, MU Legend, Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, Forge of Empires, and Minecraft: Story Mode).

Localisation, however, isn’t the only arrow in MoGi Group’s considerable quiver, it also provides industry-standard player support and community management services with over 80 player support agents worldwide supporting over 30 million players with over 3.5 million tickets annually.

With statistics as impressive as that it would be easy to think that MoGi Group think only of the big picture, but as CEO Orad Elkayam says: “No game is too big or too small, and no budget would ever stop us working with a client we believe in – take for example our successful Indie Initiative. We try to immerse ourselves in each and every game we work on, and we do this as a partner, not just as a service provider.”
