Studio Liverpool began life as Psygnosis in 1984, swiftly building up a reputation for developing innovative, cutting-edge games for the leading game platforms.
After becoming part of Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) in 1993, Studio Liverpool was intrinsically linked with the success of PlayStation, creating the original "Wipeout" in 1995, followed closely by "Colony Wars" in 1996.
