UK publisher Thumbstar Games has announced the addition of GunFinger: The Zombie Apocalypse to its portfolio of titles.
Thumbstar will work with the Pixel Toys team to publish and distribute the game worldwide on all Android devices.
By using its global distribution channels, consisting of a network of over 200 operators and D2C channels, Thumbstar hopes it can replicate the sort of success that has seen GunFinger amass over 1.5 million downloads on iOS and Windows Phone devices.
Thumbstar CEO Gareth Edmondsois certainly keen on the deal.
"We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Pixel Toys on Gunfinger. Pixel Toys have absolutely nailed the first person shooter gameplay on touch screens and have created a new benchmark in this category ” he said.
Andy Wafer, CEO of Pixel Toys, revealed that Thumbstar's enthusiasm for the game sealed the deal.
“We can’t wait to see GunFinger on Android and we’re very excited to be working with Thumbstar to make that happen," explained Wafer.
"The team at Thumbstar really believe in the game; they have some exciting plans for the initial Google Play release and have lined up some top tier distribution partners in harder to crack territories, so we know GunFinger will get the exposure it deserves.”
