Pocket Gamer Connects – THE Global Mobile Games Show

Following the successes of our Pocket Gamer Connects conferences in London and Helsinki in the past year and a half, we’re delighted to announce that we’ll be bringing the show to San Francisco for July 7th & 8th.

We’re planning to deliver four distinct tracks worth of talks focusing on mobile gaming across the world, how to survive and thrive as an indie, the latest trends in user acquisition and a bonus track dedicated to the exciting fringes of the industry.

Distinctive short-form lectures aimed at providing insight and inspiration, honest panel sessions offering frank opinion and intensive networking remain key ingredients in the PG Connects recipe. And that isn’t all we’ll be offering.

There’ll also be the Very Big Indie Pitch and I ♥ Indie Showcase area giving developers a chance to get discovered, a PG Biz Careers Centre and networking meeting system and advanced business matchmaking service - as well as the obligatory (shall we say infamous?) Pocket Gamer Party.

So what are you waiting for? Buy your tickets now and get ready for the biggest mobile gaming conference in the world to arrive on the streets of San Francisco.

Who’s Attending?

We’ll be announcing our first batch of speakers for the show in late March. But at our previous shows, we’ve managed to accrue over 1,500 delegates and speakers from the following companies:
Supercell, King, DeNA, TenCent, Gamevil, KakaoTalk, CJ E&M, Chukong, Wargaming, Kabam, Frogmind, Nordeus, Creative, Mag Interactive, NTT Docomo, Ubisoft, Facebook, Google, Apple, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Gameloft, Sega, Capcom, Mag Interactive, G5 Grand Cru, iDreamSky, Unity, Wooga, Fingersoft and more.

We’re also proud of the number of indie developers who will be in attendance. At Pocket Gamer Connects London 2015, we had over 300 indie developers from the biggest companies in the World.

GameSparks is a cloud-based platform for games developers to help them build the server-side features of their games and then manage their games as a service post launch. Games are increasingly becoming dependent on server-side components. Making a game into a cross platform multiplayer game or building it as a free-to-play game with in-app purchases and managing players are examples of the requirements that are increasing the move towards server-side game development. The GameSparks platform provides developers with a single integrated tool to build these server components without ever having to set up and run a server. Its all done for them freeing them up to focus on their games and it is fully compatible with other game tools such as Unity, Marmalade and others.
