Quality Index: The week's best Android games - Farm Invasion USA, Dark Legends
Every week, Pocket Gamer sister site Android Quality Index (Android Qi) highlights the newest games to make a critical splash in the cool, seductive waters of the Google Play pool.

Grabbing scores and opinions from all corners of the web, including from Gamezebo, Know Your Mobile, and Appolicious, Qi answers all your Android-related questions before you've even asked them.

Today, we're going to focus on two new contenders vying to be crowned king of your Android device. Both are worthy, but do they have what it takes to win your head, your heart, and your wallet.

Fun on the farm

Warping into the upper atmosphere of the Android Qi chart this week is the alien-infested cartoon caper Farm Invasion USA.

This comically over-the-top endless-runner from HandyGames puts you behind the spinning thresher of a combine harvester, and tasks you with defending the Redneck family farmstead against an invading force of popcorn-loving aliens.

In addition to the UFO-shredding farm equipment at your disposal, a number of extra weapons and upgrades can be acquired along the way, giving you plenty of methods of dispatching E.T.'s multi-coloured buddies.
Life of Android's reviewer found Farm Invasion USA's fast-paced freaky-farming gameplay a hoot and a holler, describing it as "More fun than grappling with a greased pig."

Suck it and see

Lurking in the shadowy recesses of the Android Qi Top 10, meanwhile, is the vampire-themed MMORPG Dark Legends.

Focusing on the bloodier side of vampire mythology, Spacetime's 'Twilight for adults' title contains an expansive narrative and regular doses of real time hack 'n' slash combat.

If you're a social flower, the multiplayer support will allow you to tackle creatures of the night with allies at your side. Alternatively, you can take on your undead brothers and sisters fang-to-fang in the game's PvP modes.

The folks over at Gamezebo took a shine to the impressive scope of Dark Legends, saying: "it's a massive game to sink your teeth into".

You can get the up-to-date information about which games are reviewing best over at the Android Quality Index.
