Every week, Pocket Gamer sister site iPad Quality Index (iPad Qi) highlights the newest games to make a critical splash in the cool, seductive waters of the iPad pool.
Grabbing scores and opinions from all corners of the web, including from 148Apps, AppGamer, and AppSpy, Qi answers all your iPad-related questions before you've even asked them.
Today, we're going to focus on two new contenders vying to be crowned king of your iPad. Both are worthy, but do they have what it takes to win your head, your heart, and your wallet?
Snack attack
Keeping gamers' appetites satisfied near the top of this week's iPad chart is creature-feeding physics-puzzler Webbies.
A cantankerous spider has taken it upon himself to steal all the fruit and nuts from the forest and string them up in his web, leaving the rest of the woodland animals with nothing to eat.
It's your job to nourish the hungry critters by using the web's elasticity to catapult food into their open mouths, thus silencing their grumbling bellies and earning you points.
Combining foodstuffs will earn you extra bonuses, and avoiding kinetic obstacles will become an essential element of later levels.
The folks at 148Apps were big fans of Webbies's fruit-flinging antics, saying "there's no reason for any puzzle fan to pass this one over".
Lost and found
Meanwhile, proudly on display in the middle of the Top 10 is hidden-object sequel Little Things Forever.
If you've played the first game in the series, you'll find yourself immediately at home with this latest item-locating adventure.
Using a combination of intuitive camera-manipulating gestures, you must pick out a series of items from a randomly generated collage of clipart objects.
What helps set this title apart from its peers is its stark simplicity, combined with a high level of visual polish, both of which contribute a critic-uniting consensus of positivity.
Indeed, AppSpy's reviewer deemed Little Things Forever "a delightful experience that's perfect no matter what your age or experience with gaming".
You can get the up-to-date information about which games are reviewing best over at the iPad Quality Index.
